Meet & Eat
A joint venture between St Peter’s & the Methodist Churches in Kineton.
It meets monthly in the first Tuesday, from 12 o’clock with a welcome cup of coffee or tea. There is a simple but tasty two-course meal cooked on a rota basis by teams of volunteers. There is then ½ hour of some sort of varied entertainment, and another cuppa to finish with at about 2 o’clock. There is no charge but donations to cover the costs are accepted.
The club is open to anybody and attracts a wide variety of people (not just Anglicans & Methodists!) and is growing both in numbers and enthusiasm, it is not unusual to be met in the street with “hello – what are we having for lunch next time?” Contacts: and Chris Cartwright 01926 640904
Meeting Point
Meeting Point is just that(!) a “meeting point” mid-week for anyone to drop in to Kineton St Peter’s for a cuppa, delicious home-made cake and a chance to chat on Thursday mornings (School Term Dates). Tables are put out in the open area in the front of the church and people drop in between 9:30 and 11:30. A great cross section of the village community gather here: old friendships are strengthened, new ones are made and there’s lots of laughter.
It is a particularly convenient time for mums (or dads) after they have dropped their older children at school, or even the bell ringers who often practise on Thursdays, but folk of all ages pop in on an adhoc basis. Mother’s Union
Mothers’ Union is an international Christian charity that supports families worldwide. Members share a vision – to bring about a world where God’s love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships.
By supporting marriage and family life, MU tackles issues and needs that challenge relationships and communities. It provides a network through which members can serve Christ in their own community. MU lobbies local and national governments on issues affecting family life challengng legislation that neglects the vulnerable and marginalised.
St Peter’s branch, with 20 members, meets monthly on the 4th Thursday at 10:30am, for worship, prayer and discussion, usually with a speaker. We are involved in many activities locally which support families and help to develop relationships and community. We also join in with deanery and diocesan events, which are good times of fellowship, and help us to understand more of the world-wide activities of MU

Fosse Foodbank
The Foodbank centred on St Peter’s Church’s Kineton supports communities via a network of rural and urban churches stretching from Shipston to Southam. The Foodbank gives three days of nutritionally balanced food and support to anyone in a money crisis. It is short term (not ongoing) support: but we try to advise on ways to tackle the underlying problem. The Kineton bank opens for food management activities on Moday’s and Thursday’s 1-3pm. for food distribution on Thursday’s 12:30am to 2pm. Contact: Fiona Penson 01926 642954
